I build data-driven products, from model to shipped app.

Software engineer · MSc Data Science · glider pilot

I fly gliders — no engine, just reading the air and managing energy. Which, it turns out, is exactly how I like to build software.

02 / TRAJECTORY

The route so far

A logbook of waypoints — apprentice to co-founder, with a study or two and a glider along the way.

2012 — 2016WORK

IT Apprenticeship

Swisscom (Schweiz) AG

Four years to Computer Scientist EFZ — backend, web apps and iOS. Picked up a Swisscom Young Champion award along the way.

2016 — 2017WORK

Zimmermann Informatik

Self-employed · Vitznau

Ran my own little shop: web apps for Swisscom, sites for local clubs, and photography on the side. First taste of owning the whole thing.

2017 — 2019WORK

Application Developer & Board Member

analogDigital AG · Bern

Full-stack development, project management and client consulting — plus a seat on the executive board.

2019 — 2023STUDY

BSc Business Information Technology

BFH · Business Data Analytics

Best Bachelor Thesis in my cohort — a knowledge-graph study of Confluence data, with SBB as industry partner.

2019 — NOWWORK

Co-Founder & Fullstack Engineer

indigo online AG · Bern

Grew a Holacracy-run agency from the ground up. Shipped full-stack apps for SBB, Swisscom and others; co-lead org development and mentor apprentices as a certified vocational trainer.

2024SERVICE

Swiss Army

Motor Vehicle Specialist · Cat CE

A year on a rather different class of heavy machinery. Good for the perspective.

2025 — 2027STUDY

MSc Applied Information & Data Science

HSLU · ongoing

Bridging engineering with analytical depth — turning a decade of building into a sharper data-science practice.

ONGOINGFLYING

Glider pilot

Working toward PPL & future FI ratings

The part that rarely makes it onto a CV. Active glider pilot, chasing lift and, eventually, a power licence and instructor ratings. Engines optional.

04 / ABOUT

Engineer on the ground, pilot in the air.

I'm a software engineer with 10+ years of building digital products. I co-founded indigo online, a Holacracy-run agency in Bern, where I ship full-stack apps for clients like SBB and Swisscom — and help design how a self-organising team actually works day to day.

Alongside that I'm doing an MSc in Applied Information & Data Science at HSLU — turning a long-standing obsession with clean data and honest models into the next chapter.

And most good weekends I'm in a glider: no engine, no noise, just reading the air and managing energy. It rewired how I build — brief the plan, trust the instruments, keep a margin, always leave yourself an out.

05 / FLIGHT DECK

Take the controls

Hold to climb, release to sink. Ride the signal corridor and scoop up data points. Drift outside it for more than 1.5s and you lose the signal — same margin-for-error thinking as real soaring.
